FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

ORDERING AND DATA PROTECTION

Is ordering from the Sioux online shop secure?

Data protection is very important to us. That is why we encrypt all of our communication with you using SSL (secure socket layer). As soon as you reach the part of the site where you enter confidential information for payment, the page becomes ‘https’. The padlock logo in the top left-hand corner of the address bar demonstrates that all communication via that page is encrypted. SSL is 128-bit encryption, i.e. highly secure.

You can find further details by clicking on the following link: Secure payments with SSL

How does Sioux protect my data?

It goes without saying that we will not pass on your details to third parties for advertising. We strictly apply current data protection regulations to all of our data processing, i.e. data acquisition, storage and use. You can also use our online shop at any time without entering or leaving any personal information.

We also take your data protection seriously when you buy from us. Your credit card details are especially well guarded. They are stored encrypted by a fully licensed banking service provider. For security reasons, we do not store your credit card details in full. The payment takes place via a bank, which is the only party to hold the full details. This way the key and the lock are kept separately, thus preventing any misuse.

PAYMENT METHODS AND VOUCHERS

What payment methods are available?

You can pay using all the usual payment methods (credit card, PayPal, bank transfer, advance payment or via invoice). Payment by invoice is only available to customers with sufficient credit ratings and only in Germany. For administrative reasons, we are unable to accept cash on delivery.

You can find further details by clicking on the following linkPayment

How does advance payment work? Is it secure?

Yes, of course. Sioux Online GmbH belongs to the Sioux Group, meaning it is directly related to the manufacturer. If you cancel your order or return your purchase, we will refund your advance payment as soon as we have received the shoes back in good condition.

How do I get a voucher?

Unlike other online shops, we send out very few vouchers and only on special occasions. You will receive a voucher if you register for our newsletter, for example. And if you choose to tell us your date of birth, we will also send you a voucher for your birthday.

How do I redeem a voucher against my purchase?

Once you have chosen your items and proceeded to the checkout, you can enter your voucher code in the relevant field on the first page of the ordering process. The value of the voucher will be deducted from the cost of your purchase, automatically updating the due amount when you click on ‘redeem voucher’. After this step, you still have the option of removing the voucher at any time by deactivating it on the invoice page.

Can I use more than one voucher at once?

No, only one voucher can be used per order.

Kann ich Gutscheine kombinieren?

Nein, pro Einkauf kann nur ein Gutschein verwendet werden.

I live outside the EU. What do I have to watch out for in terms of duty and taxes?

Sales to countries outside of the European Union are classed as exports. This means we do not charge VAT. You should therefore calculate the price without the 19% VAT included in the prices shown on our website (divide the price by 1.19 to work out the net price). For example: If a pair of shoes is listed on our website as costing €120 incl. VAT, you would pay €100.84. In addition to this, you will need to pay for the postage and packaging to your country. We do not charge VAT for deliveries outside of the EU, but we do charge postage and packaging.

You are responsible for paying customs and import duties in your country, which means the standard duty and taxes which apply in your country are still applicable. You will need to collect your delivery from customs and will only be able to take it away with you once you have paid the appropriate duty and taxes.

Can I have my purchase delivered to a Packstation?

Yes .

Does Sioux also make deliveries on Saturdays?

Yes.

I would like my parcel to be delivered to my neighbour. What should I do?

Our recommendation: Simply give us an alternative delivery address. You can do this when you order by unticking the box labelled ‘billing address is also delivery address’. An additional address field will then appear, which you can fill with your alternative delivery address.

When will my goods arrive?

Your order will usually arrive within two to four working days. International deliveries can take up to a week to arrive depending on the destination.  We will send you an email with a tracking code as soon as we have dispatched your delivery so that you can see its progress.

What is the status of my order?

We will keep you informed via email. You will receive the first email as soon as we have received your order, and the second as soon as we have it ready for dispatch. You will receive a third email immediately after dispatch. It is therefore very important that you enter an email address which you check regularly.

When you receive your dispatch notification, you will find a tracking code in the email so that you can track your order’s Progress.

Can I see where my parcel is?

We will inform you via email as soon as your parcel has been dispatched to DHL. In this email, you will find a tracking code so you can track your order’s progress.

SHOE SIZES AND FIT

How do I work out my shoe size?

The following link will take you to a size guide for European and international sizes, which also contains the equivalent measurements in centimetres so you can decide on the right length.

Our tip: If you don’t know how big your feet are, just take a look inside the shoes in your wardrobe to see what size you have bought most often in the past. Please note: sports shoes are not suitable for this kind of comparison as they are usually smaller than other shoes. Most people buy trainers and running shoes one or two sizes bigger than their usual size.
