Men's striking Chelsea boot with an on-trend look. This model is made of premium calf suede and lined throughout with leather. The cork-covered footbed provides cushioning to the foot. It is rounded off perfectly with a natural crêpe sole. The suede used for this model comes from the Oehler tannery in Marbach (Baden-Württemberg), approx. 20 km from Sioux's headquarters. The Oehler tannery, which dates back to 1823, has been in the same family for six generations and is the last suede tannery in Germany. The raw materials come from Europe, with the leather being tanned and finished in Germany, i.e. a 'Made in Germany' product, meeting the highest global quality and social standards. The top-quality suede used is colour-dyed and hydrophobic, meaning it has the benefit of being permanently water-repellent without any external application of waterproofing. The crêpe sole (made of natural rubber) provides enhanced comfort when walking. Crêpe soles have become very scarce in today's footwear. Insiders love this particular type of sole: crêpe soles guarantee comfort when walking even though they are a little heavier than rubber soles. Feet do not get as tired when standing or walking for long periods, as is often the case with other types of sole. Crêpe soles are made of genuine natural rubber (obtained by scoring rubber trees - this does not harm the tree). Consequently, crêpe soles are significantly more sustainable than either rubber soles or TR soles which are derived from mineral oil products and/or oil derivatives. Furthermore, crêpe breaks down more quickly in the natural environment than soles made of synthetic materials. Moreover, crêpe soles give shoes a fashionable chicness. Not only do they look very natural but, over time, they also develop a typical greyish patina on the underside.
